Baby Born Without a Face Survives and Did the Unthinkable

v

My son recently completed an internship focused on creating facial bones using a 3D printer. It is lightweight but strong enough to grow calcium. This is in its early stages and is most focused on children born with cleft palate. I could see (as a non-experimental scientist) that this research could be extended to other types of facial deformities. This may be where they hope this will lead. As an average human being, I tend to look to the future of experimental studies and what they can do ‘outside the box’.
